Today, the Tea Party Movement revealed itself to be far less about taxes/ “Amerukun Valooz” and far more about hatred than ever before.

House Democrats heard it all Saturday – words of inspiration from President Obama and raucous chants of protests from demonstrators. And at times it was flat-out ugly, including some racial epithets aimed at black members of Congress.

The tone was set outside the Capitol. Clogging the sidewalks and streets of Capitol Hill were at least hundreds – no official estimate was yet available – of loud, furious protesters, many of them tea party opponents of the health care overhaul.

Among the demonstrators was Delane Stewart, 65, of Cookeville, Tenn., who had come with her husband, Jesse.

“You know what’s coming next if this happens?” she said, referring to the health bill’s passage. “They’re going to come after gun control.”

Retired businessman Randy Simpson, 67, of Seneca, S.C., also said the health bill was just a first step.

“My concerns are about the health care bill, and the direction it takes us is toward communism, quite frankly,” he said.

Rep. Andre Carson, D-Ind., told a reporter that as he left the Cannon House Office Building with Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., a leader of the civil rights era, some among the crowd chanted “the N-word, the N-word, 15 times.” Both Carson and Lewis are black, and Lewis spokeswoman Brenda Jones also said that it occurred.

“It was like going into the time machine with John Lewis,” said Carson, a large former police officer who said he wasn’t frightened but worried about the 70-year-old Lewis, who is twice his age. “He said it reminded him of another time.”

Kristie Greco, spokeswoman for Democratic Whip Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., said a protester spit on Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Mo., who is black.

Clyburn, who led fellow black students in integrating South Carolina’s public facilities a half century ago, called the behavior “absolutely shocking.”

“I heard people saying things today that I have not heard since March 15, 1960, when I was marching to try to get off the back of the bus,” Clyburn told reporters.

Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., who is gay, said protesters shouted “abusive things” to him as he walked from the Longworth building to the Rayburn building. “It’s a mob mentality that doesn’t work politically,” he said.

Rep. Henry Waxman was also harassed by a menacing mob.

Things are getting pretty heated in the Capitol with crowds of anti-Reform/Tea Party activists going through the halls shouting slogans and epithets at Democratic members of Congress.

As our Brian Beutler reports, a few moments ago in the Longworth office building, a group swarmed a very calm looking Henry Waxman, as he got on the elevator, with shouts of “Kill the bill!” “You liar! You crook!”

Not long before, Rep. Barney Frank got an uglier version of the treatment. Just after Frank rounded a corner to leave the building, an older protestor yelled “Barney, you faggot.” The surrounding crowd of protestors then erupted in laughter.

At one point, Capitol police officer threatened to throw a group of protestors out of the building but that only seemed to inflame them more; and apparently none were ejected.

So who are these Tea Party protesters in DC? How did they get there- who is behind them?

Yes, this is just a bus full of people like YOU — people who want to just live our lives in peace, but who have discovered that the BROOD OF VIPERS in Washington, D.C. don’t WANT to let us live in peace. We’ve discovered that they want to take over every aspect of our lives — and WE AREN’T GOING TO LET THEM ANY MORE! We’ve had ENOUGH!

And I know that YOU have had enough, too. You’ve had enough of the bailouts of banks that they said were “too big to fail” — but who then squander those billions of taxpayer dollars even more than they did before.

You’ve had enough of so-called “stimulus plans” that don’t “stimulate” ANYTHING, but hand out a LOT of pork to every Congressional Tom, Dick, and Harry that can stick his hand in that “pot of gold” paid for by TAXPAYERS.

You’ve had enough of socialists trying to take over the entire American health care system, and turn what is the best system in the world into something that looks like Cuba.

You’ve had enough of unelected bureaucrats and banksters at the Federal Reserve printing TRILLIONS of dollars out of thin air, driving the value of our money down by over 95 PERCENT since they started… and then refusing to allow Congress to do a full audit of their secret backroom deals made with OUR money.

You’ve had ENOUGH of higher taxes, bigger government, more welfare, a trashed and ignored Constitution, payoffs, bribes, kickbacks, corruption… the list just goes on and on.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Today — just like at the Tea Parties across the nation last year — just like the Town Halls in state after state — just like the millions who marched on DC last 9/12 — just like the millions of phone calls, emails, faxes, and letters that have poured into every Congressional office…

Today, just like has been happening for over a year now, TENS OF THOUSANDS of Americans from all across the country are converging on the U.S. Capitol, with a simple message:

“YOU WORK FOR US!”

They’ve tried to ignore us for over a year — but they’ve discovered they can’t. We aren’t going away — EVER.

WE THE PEOPLE are making our voices heard, and we’re only getting louder. And I want to tell you THANK YOU for being willing to make YOUR voice heard.

This week, we’ll see who those “representatives” of the people are going to listen to: their liberal “masters,” or their REAL bosses — YOU AND ME.
