A Union Worker at her Best

So my broadband and phone lines have been acting up, and since I pay that extra monthly fee for inside wiring repair, I had AT&T send out the very charming and kind Tatiana to check my lines. She also checked for any taps and assorted other hinkiness at my box and the main street box, because the price of freedom is vigilance.

As we were chatting, she mentioned that she had had some trouble on her own home DSL, and being a tech, realized what the problem was.

I could have fixed it on my own, but instead, I called it in, since doing it myself would have taken work away for my union brothers and sisters.

Tatiana told me someone came out, fixed her problem then and asked why she didn’t just handle it herself. She she said she reiterated that it would have taken work away from her fellow CWA union members which I bet gave the guy something to think about.

Thanks Tatiana, for keeping your union strong and showing what solidarity is!
