Advocacy is icky

Nobody could have predicted that CBS would accept the Rod and Maud Flanders* ad for the Super Bowl but would punt something a bit more sexy, but secular. Considering both the Vikings and the Packers were represented, the ad might have been more acceptable if they had used a Favre lookalike if only for the vicarious thrill it would have given to the Sacred Order of the Brett-Humping Sport Scribes.

On the bright side, ManCrunch can use that unspent money and pretty much sponsor their own Super Bowl.
