corporate contributions X government bailouts = infinitely screwed
Banks can now purchase elections for politicians who will then provide more bailouts to banks.
Corporations currently appear to own the following: the U.S. Supreme Court, the President, the Democratic leadership in the House and Senate, the entire Republican party, the media, our public spaces, and on and on.
We the people currently appear to own the following: parabolically increasing public debt, unlimited guarantees to FNMA/FRE, the obligation to purchase crap product from a select number of private insurers, and on and on.
Wanna really freak out a lot of people? How about we unite populist lefties and teabaggers around a Constitutional Amendment that defines the Bill of Rights as applying exclusively to human beings, as distinct from corporations.
