Obama has disappointed the left. I, for one will go to the polls in 2010 and 2012 and vote only for dog catcher.

The Democratic party merely replaced conservative Republicans with conservative Democrats in congress in 2006 and 2008.

People have voted in 2006 and 2008 but it did not do much good, in getting rid of conservatives in congress.

However, the left appears a part of the fault. The left complains about the corporations exercising too much influence over legislation but will do nothing to pressure these corporations into getting us the progressive legislation we want.

On my birthday tonight, I wish for the left to act more assertive and go after the corporations that they say the express disgust for.
