Folks who use Gmail and receive emails about labor, unions, and the Employee Free Choice Act regularly see Google text ads from unionbusting consults Labor Relations Institute (LRI).  These ads typically have headlines like “Unions: The 7 Great Lies” or “Beware Nursing Unions.”  Well, LRI also produces an annual anti-union Christmas card for their email list.  Here’s what they sent yesterday:

Ha ha!  Hilarious!  Get it?  If the Rockettes were union members, they’d have a contract with seniority provisions that forced Radio City to employ octogenarian dancers.

Sorry, what?  The Rockettes have been represented by the American Guild of Variety Artists for at least 40 years?

If cast in the show, performers will be offered an American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA) contract with competitive salaries and benefits.

Oh.  Well then.  Carry on, unionbusters!
