Fun With Flash Games: Website Asks You To “Strip Joe”
Here’s a fun little Web diversion from CREDO Mobile about America’s favorite politician, Joe Lieberman.
CREDO wants there to be consequences if Lieberman joins a Republican-led filibuster to block a final vote on health care reform. Specifically, they want him to be stripped of his chairmanship on the Senate Homeland Security Committee. So they’ve created the website Strip Joe. In addition to the ubiquitous petition, the site includes a Flash animation where you get to “strip” Joe (whether you like it or not).
The cartoon Lieberman flutters around the Capitol, and you can hit him with a gavel to reveal successive layers of clothing. The first reveals an “I (heart) Aetna” T-shirt; the second, GOP boxer shorts; the third, an “indepdendent Thug Life” tattoo; and the fourth, a “GOP-string.” You might want to think twice before playing the game at all, come to think of it, given the results, but it’s certainly a sure way to put you off lunch.
Roll Call reported today that Lieberman would probably face no consequences from defying the Democratic caucus, but progressives continue to work to change that.
The website is StripJoe.org.
