Michele Bachmann: Action Figure, Comic Book Heroine SCARY

First she was simply a crazy GOP wingnut member of Congress with a tin foil hat and an ugly checked suit, but now Michele Bachmann is approaching Sarah Palin levels of pop culture anti-iconography, though she’s yet to be parodied in porn, the ultimate imprimateur.

Bachmann was just made into an  action figure, she’s appearing in the 2010 calendar of “Great American Conservative Women and now the second issue of False Witness! The Michele Bachmann Story, a comic book about the Congress member who hears God speak has just been released. She’s nutty, she’s kooky, she’s crazy. And she’s just a little dangerous–even for her party–because her extremist views highlight  the GOP’s worst characteristics and rhetoric.

Whether it’s decrying the census as a conspiracy to put decent God-fearing Americans into “camps,” suggesting that there be no minimum wage, or calling for an armed revolution over energy taxes, Bachmann never fails to amuse. Except she’s an elected official, not the weird old lady down the block who smells like pee and yells at you to get off the lawn.
