Rush calls for racial segregation on school buses
This man is a complete piece of shite. This man is a flat out racist and shouldn't earn a dime from sponsors. When you call for racial segregation as an answer to any problem, you've lost any credibility in a discussion and only incite an a…lready intolerant base. Would he call for this if it were an Asian-White conflict, or boys vs. girls? Someone sew Rush a Klan hood and let's just get it over with.
In a remark extraordinary even by the standards of conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh, the right-wing radio heavyweight declared on his program Wednesday that the United States needed to return to racially segregated buses.
Referring to an incident in which a white student was beaten by black students on a bus, Limbaugh said: “I think the guy’s wrong. I think not only it was racism, it was justifiable racism. I mean, that’s the lesson we’re being taught here today. Kid shouldn’t have been on the bus anyway. We need segregated buses — it was invading space and stuff. This is Obama’s America.”
Media Matters shows just how far off the rails this irresponsible voice of the GOP has run, knowing the attack was not caused by racial conflict after all — segregation is still on his mind as the answer:
Then Rush took a caller who said the local police investigating the bus assault said today the attack was not racially motivated. Rush responded to these developments put out by the local law enforcement:
LIMBAUGH: I think the guy's wrong. I think not only it was racism, it was justifiable racism. I mean, that's the lesson we're being taught here today. Kid shouldn't have been on the bus anyway. We need segregated buses — it was invading space and stuff. This is Obama's America.
On Countdown, Howard Dean discussed the corrosive effect on society of bottom-feeders like Limbaugh and Beck.
