Tonight Couples to Discuss Domestic Partnerships with Secretary of State Ross Miller

Tonight, couples will discuss domestic partnerships with Secretary of State Ross Miller at The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada.  

To provide couples with their certificates on October 1st when the law takes effect, Miller offered a pre-filing period for couples to submit their applications to his office between August 24th and September 24th.  

Secretary of State Miller, Senator David Parks, the author of Nevada’s Domestic Partner Registry Act, Attorney Ishi Kunin and representatives from the ACLU and Nathan Adelson Hospice will be available to answer questions about the process of applying for domestic partnerships and answer questions about how the law impacts LGBT couples.

Notaries public will be available to notarize forms for couples in attendance.  Couples wishing to have their forms notarized will need to bring government-issued photo identification.
