Yosi Sergant NEA Update
While Yosi Sergant has resigned as the NEA’s communications director after Glenn Beck called the whaaaa-mbulance on a nothing issue, he is still working for the agency. Fox News reports:
The communications director at the National Endowment for the Arts remains an employee there despite reports that he was asked to resign following his participation in a controversial conference call last month, FOXNews.com learned Thursday…
The NEA is now saying:
As regards Yosi Sergant, he has not left the National Endowment for the Arts. He remains with the agency, although not as director of communications.
The controversy erupted over an hour-long conference call on Aug. 10 hosted by the NEA, the White House Office of Public Engagement and United We Serve, a nationwide initiative launched by President Obama to increase volunteerism.
Glenn Beck compared Sergant’s suggestion during the call that artists engage their communities with art that encouraged service in the fields of the environment and health care to Hilter-esque propaganda.
Glenn Beck is a crazy, low brow Obama-hater who can’t even spell "oligarchy," and why the Administration is pandering to him (Van Jones and now Yosi Sergant) is beyond comprehension.
And why the GOP hasn’t taken Addison "Joe" Wilson more to task is also pretty incomprehensible.
