The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC)? Here’s some contact info: NAIC Securities Valuation Office 48 Wall Street, 6th Floor New York, NY 10005-2906 212-398-9000 Fax 212-382-4207 Wall Street! What does this tell us?

Really? The NAIC Securities Valuation Office? The Association each of our State Insurance Commissioner belongs to has a Securities Valuation Office? On Wall Street? Really?

I am old enough to remember when the Insurance Commissioner protected US from abuse by insurers. Have they done this with the Health Insurers? Not if all the Health Care Horror Stories are true, in my opinion.

Who does watch OUR back?

Here’s the list for the country, just in case you want to call them, write to them, fax them or put together a protest rally:

You can find all the contact information and locations for your State’s Insurance Commissioner’s office on the list above. Isn’t it time to include the power of this office in our discussion?

What role does each State’s Insurance Commissioner play that allows health insurance companies to get away with denying coverage, dropping people, enabling rescissions, charging ridiculous premiums, and all the other murderous and harmful policies to exist?

Why aren’t we also calling them? Why aren’t we rallying in front of the offices of the State Insurance Commissioner’s offices? Are they the enablers for the insurance industry?

Here’s an action item we can all participate in.

And just for fun, this Onion story from yesterday will give you a chuckle. Enjoy:
