Rich Lowry Tells Sara Taylor That The P Is Free

Some journalists pimp their copy out, but Rich Lowry, editor of the most venerable conservative magazine of all, told a White House political director that she could ride for free. And then she rejected him.

Zack Roth wins the internet today by digging the latest U.S. Attorney disclosures and finding this January 2007 email from Sara Taylor:

Prior is going after Griffin. He’s made this his cause…. We need to find some folks to defend Tim and his credentials, not to mention our policy. Your thoughts? Rich Lowry offered to help Tim

And then? What did Taylor say? Zack, play that shit!

The best part? Taylor went on to ask: "Anyone better?"

Or, in other words, Sara Taylor said it wasn’t tricking if she’s got it.

National Review has now forfeited the right to criticize the journalistic ethics of anyone for as long as Lowry stays affiliated. There’s some hoes in that house.
