Kerry Sounding Cautious Afghanistan Notes

Now, usually I don’t do this, but I’ll go ahead and break them off with a taste of the remix. Actually, I do that all the time, because the internet wants modular journalism and I’m here with the bricks. But here’s a piece of a piece of a forthcoming story that quotes John Kerry about the metrics (and lack thereof in Afghanistan):

Kerry said he thought it was “critical” that “our footprint in Afghanistan match the mission President Obama laid out in his strategy and that we have realistic expectations for what we can accomplish.”

The whole thing will be out tomorrow at the Washington Independent. I have to admit I’m influenced here by friends of mine who are doing Q&As with senators and getting them to make news.
