I attended the Democratic National Convention in 2008. There were nearly 100,000 Democrats who packed into Invesco Field. And not a single one of them tried to gas me or incinerate me or tear the gold fillings from my teeth. Didn’t get a single comment about what a great lampshade I’d make or how I’d look even better as a bar of soap. Yet here’s this Oxycontined-out piece of shit who spends his days braying about the importance of protecting the purity of America from the black man on Pennsylvania Avenue calling his opponents Nazis, and he can’t help avoid a charming slip about "Jewish capitalism."

We’ve reached a kind of point in this country where Rush Limbaugh just has a certain media space to spout this shit. He can flirt with saying-but-not-saying how the black president just can’t be president because he must not be a citizen and he can describe capitalism as having essential Jewish character. And he’ll face no reprisal. People treat racism and antisemitism like it’s Manny-being-Manny. I’ll stop now before I confess to the things I’d like to happen to Limbaugh, prompting all sorts of historical ironies.
