On last night’s Daily Show, Jon Stewart showed videotape of Senator Charles Grassley (R-Camelot-in-the-cornfield) trying to explain why he objects to funding health care reform with a surtax. The illustrations he uses and the story he concocts are just too unbelievable to describe.

At the end, Stewart does get things backwards, blaming in advance any failure on the letter from the Progressive Caucus warning that they would not vote for a bill without a robust public option, rather than the Blue Dogs who are trying to gut the public option, but the rest of the bit is well worth a watch and giggle.
