Douglas W. Kmiec, of California, to be Ambassador to the Republic of Malta.

Douglas Kmiec, a former Dean of Catholic University Law School, and an ardent supporter of California's Proposition 8, has been rewarded for his faithful and rabid homophobia by our “fierce advocate” President Obama with an appointment as US Ambassador to Malta.
