Eight months after the November 2008 elections, Al Franken is about to be sworn in, on Paul Wellstone’s very own family Bible, as the junior United States Senator from the State of Minnesota.
You can watch it right here starting at 11:00 am Central (12:00 noon Eastern), thanks to The UpTake. You can now see the swearing in as it played out just after Noon, DC time, right here.
As a resident of said state, I can’t say much, other than to say: It feels good. Not much more to say that hasn’t already been said. Other than to agree with Paul Krugman on how Senator Franken, the policy wonk’s policy wonk, will be raising the tone over in the upper chamber.
