Wisconsin Passes Domestic Partnerships!!!!
I can't seem to get EXPLICIT confirmation of this yet. Domestic Partnerships originally passed as a part of the budget in both the House and Senate. They had to go to a comittee of conference. I've never heard from any source and site following this nor extensive news searches that have mentioned any sort of removal of the Domestic Partnership act from the budget, so I assume it is still there.
Well, the budget has finally passed the Wisconsin legislature in its completed form, and will eventually be signed into law by Gov. Jim Doyle. Doyle was the one who put in the domestic partnerships, so there are no more hurdles to this next state recognizing LGBT unions. Congratulations!
