Uptown Saturday Night

Cotton goes to Harlem, Obama goes to Broadway, and wingnuts go nuttier:
President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama landed in New York Saturday afternoon, and after taking a helicopter from JFK into Manhattan, drove up the West Side Highway, where the northbound lanes were shut down by police for their visit, past Ground Zero, into the Village for dinner at the Village’s Blue Hill restaurant. From there, they went north to Times Square, where they went to to see a production of "Joe Turner’s Come and Gone" at the Belasco Theater on West 44 Street.
Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest read a statement from Obama: "I am taking my wife to New York City because I promised her during the campaign that I would take her to a Broadway show after it was all finished."
Asked about the cost of the trip, which Republicans have criticized as indulgent, coming just ahead of the expected announcement of GM’s bankruptcy filing on Monday, Josh Earnest told pool reporter Dave Michaels of the Dallas Morning News, that he "didn’t anticipate being able to provide a cost estimate tonight."
After the play the Presidential limousine was pelted with teabags thrown by angry taxpayers who claimed they would rather "Go Galt" than see one dime of their hard-earned money taxed to fund the President’s late-night carousing and booty calls.
Okay. Actually, not:
After the play let out at about 11:30 p.m., the presidential motorcade went down Sixth Avenue, shut down by the NYPD, and onlookers packed onto the East side of the street cheered as the presidential motorcade passed as the Obamas headed back to JFK for a return flight to Washington.
Well, New Yorkers are all commies, foreigners, and faggots, so what did you expect?
Let’s see what real Americans from Real America really think about this travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham.
It’s bad enough that the taxpayers were left with a bill for hundreds of thousands of dollars for staff, security, military and police time. It’s also the fact that all these people had to give up their Saturday night with their families to spend it so the Obamas could cause massive traffic jams all over New York inconveniencing thousands more.
Presidents should just stay home on Saturday nights and watch House reruns (but not Sabado Gigante because it’s probably racist) and besides, everyone knows that the military, the Secret Service, and the NYPD have weekends off so that’s really really unfair to them and their families.
Aren’t liberals even the teeniest upset about this junket, too??? I wonder when the American people will wake up and realize that they elected a Diva and his Wife to the White House. While Barack spends our future in billions and billions of dollars, he enjoys a Broadway show tonight.
Good one, Mr. President. That hurt.
And it wasn’t even a musical! What the Tommy Tune is up with that?… "Midnight, Not a sound from the pavement, Has the moon lost her memory?…." sob…sniff….oh, Grizabella, you are so very wise in the ways of the world….
Obama also promised a middle class tax cut and healthcare reform, but obviously those can wait.
No dating until you fix the economy, solve America’s health care problems, bomb North Korea, end terrorism, abolish the designated hitter …and would it kill you to pull up your pants?
Sweetness & Light, on the other hand, cuts right to the heart of the matter:
By the way, note that the Obamas went to a ‘black’ show.
When does he ever pay homage to his white side?
Obviously a minstrel show is in order. Two birds, one stone, ya’suh, dat be de ticket, sho nuff!
