General David Petraeus, Central command for pressident Bush says point blank, US violated Geneva Conventions

check out my bold;

“When we have taken steps that have violated the Geneva Conventions we rightly have been criticized, so as we move forward I think it’s important to again live our values, to live the agreements that we have made in the international justice arena and to practice those,” Gen. Petraeus said on Fox News Friday afternoon.

Did their heads explode?…I am wondering how they’re gonna spin this

The republicans thought the general was going to be a front runner for president in oh twelve, I wonder if they think he’s still their guy

On the other hand, the ONLY way the republicans can reclaim any dignity, if they decide to take the offensive against bush/cheney and their programs against our law and constitution they still have a chance to rebuild, if they refuse they have no chance

Maybe this is their first step, (probably not)

Anyway, check out the context, this is brutal comming from Bush’s hand picked "general in the field";

Petraeus made the comment in the context of being asked about the Bush administration’s so-called “enhanced interrogation techniques.”

wow, simply…wow

He then proceeds laying to waste the "ticking time bomb" scenario;

Asked about a “ticking time bomb” scenario — which is often employed by torture’s defenders — Petraeus said that interrogation methods approved for use in the Army Field Manual were generally sufficient.

Bush has nowhere to go does he, nor cheney, nor liz for that matter

Catch the article asap since there’s a video hosted by fox news and it might not stay up too long
