Bat. Shit. Crazy.

[When] you come in and you introduce the concept of same-sex marriage or secular marriage, or any of the other rituals that have been formed by the state – and what you do is disestablish the godly order in favor of an order of death. Now let me say this to you Larry, because it’s the important part.  The government, government was created to kill.

–Stephen Pidgeon, prominent Protect Marriage Washington endorser

Ever since the anti-equality lobby day in Olympia this past March, I’ve been kicking myself that I didn’t record the speeches.  There was one speech in particular that I was ruing the loss of, because it was such an excellent example of the sort of extreme wingnuttery that repels the average voter.  It was Stephen Pidgeon’s speech.

If you will recall, Stephen Pidgeon is a denizen of the Crumbling Coalition of Fanatical Fringe that Larry Stickney is using to pad his Referendum 71 endorsement list.  Ref 71, if successful, would repeal the recently-passed Domestic Partnership Expansion Bill of 2009.

Now, amazingly, Larry had posted a video of Mr. Pidgeon’s rally speech on his Ref 71 web page.  Larry has also posted the audio file of a radio interview he did with Mr. Pidgeon on February 27th, a few weeks before the rally.  A transcript of the audio file is below, as is the Pidgeon video and its transcript.  I recommend the radio interview because the duo had more time to lay down thick layers of batshit than did Mr. Pidgeon in his rally speech.  But the video is also fun just to see it rip.  And finally, since it is sometimes instructive to string together pearls of wisdom on one cord, I’ve placed A Gallery of Pidgeon Corkers at the end of the post. Here is the transcript for Larry Stickney’s “Interview with Stephen Pidgeon, Decalogos International“, first broadcast on Feb 27, 2009.  Footnotes are mine.

Larry Stickney:  Hello friends, it’s Larry Stickney coming at you again with the Values Action Radio Show.  You can catch this show every [removed].

I am the president of the Washington Values Alliance, an organization that is unabashedly and unashamedly conservative and Christian in its world view and political outlook.  And just like our founding fathers, we share a belief in limited government, and the rule of law that is rooted in Judeo-Christian principles and morality.

We believe our values are those that can be found all across this great state by a majority of Washingtonians (1) just about anywhere outside of the greater Seattle liberal red zone, which is the place where you simply cannot be liberal enough.  Please go to our website right now [removed].

Before we meet today with our special guest, Attorney Stephen Pidgeon, I want to remind you that the legislature is in session, and that we’re urging citizens state-wide to contact legislators via e-mail, by calling the legislative hotline at 1-800-562-6000.  Tell them “no” on the same-sex marriage(2) bills Senate Bill 5688 and House Bill 1727, which will, for all intents and purposes, legalize gay marriages in the state of Washington…

(1) Washington voters re-elected the strong LGBT ally Governor Chris Gregoire in 2008.  Newspapers across the state unanimously support domestic partnerships and oppose Referendum 71.

(2) These were domestic partnership bills, not marriage bills.  This is a favorite bait & switch tactic used by Larry.

Again, today we’re meeting with a friend, Attorney Steve Pidgeon, who amongst the the other notable achievements of his, he is a recipient of the 2008 Presidential Commission(3), the 2008 Reagan Congressional Commission, a two-time recipient of the Congressional Medal of Distinction, and a designee for the 2006 Businessman of the Year Award.  He’s been in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Business, and is an ally of the Alliance Defense Fund, a friend of Advocates International, The Rule of Law Institute, The Individual Rights Foundation, the Human Action League, the Institute for Justice, The Federalist Society, the International Justice Society, the Christian Legal Society, the World Evangelical Alliance, and other groups promoting religious freedom, economic freedom and civil society throughout the world.  That’s a pretty impressive resume there, Mr. Pidgeon.

Stephen Pidgeon:  Sounds great, doesn’t it?

LS:  It’s quite a mouth full.  Wow, WOW!  If I could get just part of that on mine(4), I’d be a happy man.  How are you today, Steve?

SP:  I’m great Larry, thanks for having me.

(3) The “Presidential Commission” is an award given out by the Republican National Congressional Committee.  Odd that the only mention of Pidgeon having received it is on web pages quoting him.  For 2008 I only find notices of other people receiving the honor.  Same thing for the 2008 Reagan Congressional Commission and the NRCC’s Congressional Medal of Distinction.  After discovering this multiple self-coronation, I didn’t bother to look into the veracity of the other honorifics.

(4) A look at Larry’s resume here, where he boasts a) being campaign manager for a republican who lost to a pro-LGBT Democrat who still holds the congressional seat almost 10 years later; b) managing an anti-choice initiative that Washington voters roundly rejected.

LS:  Well now, the mission of your new organization, Decalogos International, is to advocate for, to promote and to advance god-ordained human rights in the international arena through word and deed for the glory of the name of Jesus Christ.  Steven can you tell us a little bit about Decalogos, and what you guys are doing.

SP:  Decalogos is an organization that was formed after the Decalog, which is another word for the Ten Commandments.  And there are many rights groups worldwide that are promoting quote unquote human rights, such as the American Civil Liberties Union, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and so forth.

All of the groups have something in common, they have all adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as the center foundation piece for their rights, which includes the international covenant on economic, social and political rights, the international covenant on civil rights, and so forth.  And it also includes the rights of the child, and other rights.

And if you read these rights documents that have been prepared by the United Nations, they are not Christian in nature.  In fact, they do not enshrine Judeo-Christian values.  They enshrine a form of secular humanism, and the secular humanism that they enshrine also creates an enormous power in the state.  And so, for instance, instead of protecting the fundamental human rights, they protect a roster of rights that have been born out of the humanist agenda and out of other statist doctrines that are designed to promote a one-world government in which they find themselves being in control.

This is a particularly significant issue when it comes to the rights of the child that are now being promoted by Barbara Boxer, which Obama has indicated that he would enact into law.  I went through that act last night, it’s going to be on the website, I think later on tomorrow, and that particular act celebrates the best interest of the child while ignoring the constitutional principle in the United States that each parent has the right to care, custody, control and companionship of the child.

And equally important, under the Ten Commandments, the 5th Commandment specifies that thou shall honor thy father and thy mother.  And the blessing that occurs from that ordinance, is that you shall live long in the land and prosper.  Now if you look clearly at that, that also creates the human right, the human right of every child on the planet to have a mother and a father they might honor.  That is a fundamental that is to say a primary, it is one of the top ten human rights enshrined in scripture.  And remember that god, that is to say Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith is also the author and perfector of this roster of human rights.

And so Decalogos is about bringing that roster of human rights, based upon the Ten Commandments, to bear in the international arena to say, you come out and say you have a right to this, you have a right to that.  If it’s a state-granted right, it is not a right, it is a privilege.  And the analysis is simple: if the state can grant it, then the state can take it away.  If the state can take it away, it is not an intrinsic human right, it is a privilege.  And so what is being argued on the so-called right for same-sex marriage is not a right at all.  They are arguing for the state to grant the privilege.  It is not a right, because a right to be a right must have supernatural authority.  And there is no supernatural authority for the proposition of same-sex marriage.

LS:  Very good. Steve, a little bit about you again.  You’ve traveled the world extensively… [I’ve omitted the section where Pidgeon brags that he can recite a religious statement in several languages.  Resuming at time index 485:]

SP:  I have a piece on the Decalogos website called “An Open Letter to Elders and Pastors”.  I encourage people in the Christian network to download the letter to elders and pastors, where we reference what is on Whitehouse dot gov in the Civil Rights sections, what Obama’s intentions are, and that includes hate speech laws.

The hate speech laws essentially say, we have a model that’s shown from Canada, what Canada’s done on hate speech, and the hate speech laws say that if you say something that, in the ears of the listener they take as offensive, for instance many of the militant gay activists have taken the position that if you hold yourself out in the political arena as a Christian, that is per se hate speech.

‘I’m a Christian.’

‘Oh, you must hate gays.’

It’s an automatic assumption.  Now under the hate speech laws, the way it would work is that if the listener hears you say something that in their mind is offensive, they can bring an action against you for discrimination (5)  Now in Canada, virtually every Christian leader has been brought up in front of the Canadian Human Rights Commission which has, not only are they stuck paying their own legal bills between forty and a hundred thousand, but they end up paying the legal bills of the other side.  And it is a prosecution that can last for a year, or two years.  And ultimately pastors have been stripped of their licenses.

A candidate at one point tried to outlaw home churches and street evangelism while they were basically putting a blanket on any speech that

came from the pulpit that got close to claiming that homosexuality was a sin.

LS:  It’s frightening that we’re moving down that same road here in the United States it seems.

SP:  Quickly.

LS:  Yeah.

[Section where they discuss Pidgeon’s failed lawsuit concerning Obama’s citizenship.  Resuming at time index 1000:]

SP:  [SP describes an ancient Jewish marriage tradition] This celebration of marriage, and that particular concept of the marriage rite is the salvation story.  It is the whole story, and so that’s, this ritual, that is marriage reflects about the Judeo tradition that is found in the Old Testament, which is the New Testament concealed, and the New Testament traditions which is the Old Testament revealed, and so consequently you have this merger of the testimony of the two witnesses that testify to the truth of all of the claims that are made in scripture, that is enshrined in this ritual of marriage.  So the ritual of marriage is the very core, the very heart of a social system.  And when you talk about this very core and very heart of the system, you come in and you introduce the concept of same-sex marriage or secular marriage (6), or any of the other rituals that have been formed by the state – and what you do is disestablish the godly order in favor of an order of death.

(5) Because he either misunderstands the bill or deliberately misrepresents it, I wondered if Mr. Pidgeon was in good stead with the Washington State Bar Association.  Surprisingly, his membership is active (WSBA Bar# 25265).

(6) A minor detail Pidgeon neglects to mention: Stickney has had 3 secular marriages and Pidgeon at least one.  Thus, they have also helped disestablish the godly order in favor of death via the secular.

Now let me say this to you Larry, because it’s the important part.  The government, government was created to kill.  Ok now that’s an important thing that people need to understand.  The foremost right that you give over to the government, you delegate to the government, is the right to kill.  That is to defend you against enemies foreign and domestic.  It’s the fundamental duty of government.

LS:  Uh huh.

SP:  And governments do kill.  And as soon as the government gets out of control, what it does is, kill.  So when you go back and you look at the 20th century, which was the bloodiest century in human history,

LS:  Uh huh.

SP:  of all the people who were killed in all the wars, the number of people killed by their own government was almost triple that number.  Because governments kill.

And governments become more and more deadly when their adversary, the family, is destroyed.  Government is at war with the family, it always has been.  It sees the family, the unit of the family as a direct threat to its ultimate sovereignty.  But you have to remember, the government is of the world, and it is of it’s father of the world.  And when governments get to that point, when they become, when they lose touch with the god who created them and the authority of Christ over them, and they begin to assert themselves as god, they will move to become a killing agent.  The only thing that stands in the way of that is the strength of the family.

So the government is necessarily going to wax and wane for the destruction of the family, which it has done.  And the destruction in this case has taken place beginning with the onslaught of no-fault divorce (7), no-fault divorce was promoted by the Playboy Foundation, as a direct result of the perverted research of Alfred Kinsey, which was promoted in 1948, and given legs to pornography in 1953, and which had been promoted and non-stop in this country to destroy marriage as an institution.

And now we’ve gotten to a point where we’ve reached the ultimate destruction.  Now, I want to make this clear, because what is going on in Washington, let me give you an example.  In Washington we recently passed this assisted suicide act (8).

LS:  Yes.  Go ahead with that, yeah.

(7) Stickney has had two no-fault divorces.  Thus he is part of the perverted Kinseyan culture of death that is waging war on the family.

(8) Initiative 1000, the Death with Dignity Act, was approved by 58% of voting Washingtonians.

SP:  Assisted suicide

LS:  It was a sad day for Washington.

SP:  Yes, because when we get to nationalized and socialized health care, the health care that’s going to be available for people who otherwise tax the Social Security system, is going to be a pair of cyanide pills.

LS:  Yep.

SP:  Because what happens is, they say now we control all the health care, and you who are over 65 if you get sick, this is the health care you’re getting: assisted suicide and nothing else.  Now, as you can see, that’s death.

Now let’s talk about what’s on the website of at Whitehouse dot gov under Civil Rights.  It’s FOCA, the Freedom of Choice Act, which is going to force Catholic hospitals and Catholic doctors to perform partial-birth abortions, and of course Mr. Obama is the only Senator to have ever voted to allow children to have survived abortion to die on the table.  He voted for that four times.  So what you are talking about is let’s start out by killing the sick and the elderly, and let’s kill the unborn, but it is not going to be long before the expansion of the death knell from government is going to be increased.

LS:  Well Steve,

SP:  And the only thing standing in the way is the family.

LS:  do you think that our values and our children are safe in private schools or home school, or do we need to think again.

SP:  Well let me point out to you that in the State of the Union address, Mr. Obama made the remark that it was unacceptable, this 50% drop-out rate in the high schools was unacceptable.

LS:  Uh huh.

SP:  And he got a standing ovation, particularly among members of the Black community who’re suffering egregious losses of education.  The fact of the matter is that the federal government will outlaw homeschooling.  It will outlaw private curriculum in private schools, and is going to up the truancy laws to make sure that every child, if they have any opportunity for success in this country, they will go to a public institution, and they will join things like the Young Pioneers, or what used to be called the the [unintelligible] under a different name in this country,

LS:  Yeah.

SP:  But you’ll either participate in the Communist Party, or you will not be in college, you will not have the right to a job (9).

(9) Puzzling that Pidgeon feels that anyone has the right to a job.  The Right to Work is a tenet of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which Pidgeon eschews.

LS:  I’m hearing that word ‘Marxism’ being attributed a lot to members of the Obama administration here and there, and you know, we’ve laughed about that in past years, and we’ve talked about Communist plots and conspiracy theories, but my goodness for the first time in my life it seems to be something we’d better start paying attention to, because even mainstream radio is using words like ‘Marxism’ to describe some of these folks.  And by golly, if you look at the record, uh, Obama’s association…

SP:  Well, the media never disclosed to us, Larry, that Obama was a Socialist Workers Part candidate for the Senate, and that was

LS:  completely ignored.

SP:  Never disclosed to the American public.

LS:  Um, the same-sex marriage bills to me, Steve, they’re a Trojan horse for so many things, and the implications are huge, and we’ve got to keep getting the word out and you’re such a wealth of knowledge I’m looking forward to continuing to get with you, and perhaps we can even work together on some points to get up on the websites for people to go into some depth on this stuff.

SP:  Let me throw out a couple things for people to look at if you want to know the underlying agenda, the underlying agenda is expressed in agenda twenty-one, it’s called sustainable growth, sustainable development.  You need to look at that, and you will find out that what the articulation is is found in the Georgia Guides Zones, which you can find online.  And ultimately this new world order that is being discussed right now has a goal of reducing the Earth’s population to 500 million people.  Now that’s going to require the elimination of over 6 billion human lives.

When I say that government is about death, you need to understand that this is their stated goals.  So you need to look at that, and see what that is.  Homosexual rights are not about homosexual rights.  They have people who are willing to play into that field, but the truth is that homosexual rights are about population control, and the goal is to get the United States to 150 million people.  That’s why they promote, that’s why homosexual rights are found in the same bailiwick with unbridled abortion, mandatory sterilization, so on and so forth.  The idea is to reduce family size, to reduce the family to make sure that no one can procreated so as to get the population dramatically reduced.  That’s what it is about.

And so, now in addition, no one has looked at the practical costs of gay marriage.  You know the divorce rate among homosexual married men is about 8 times higher than among the heterosexual community, which is astronomical.

LS:  Where do you get those statistics, from Massachusetts, or European, or…?

SP:  It’s a Harvard study.  And they got the statistics looking at France, looking at the Netherlands (10).  Now, you have to remember that as high as the gay men divorce rate is, gay women it’s 300% higher than gay men.  So, once we go down this path of homosexual marriage, homosexual divorce is going to explode.  And so you’re looking at instead of having the 11,000 divorces we have every year in King County, we’re going to have probably 35,000 per year.

(10) There can be no study on the divorce rate of same-sex couples in France because same-sex marriage is not legal in France.  In the Netherlands, the divorce rate for gays is the same as for straights.  American same-sex couples are no different than their different-sex counterparts.

LS:  Do you think it’s possible we may end up becoming a Mecca for, say California homosexual couples up here in Washington if this [the Domestic Partnership Expansion Bill of 2009, SB 5688] goes through this year, and is there a good chance our Supreme Court would overturn out Defense of Marriage Act once we instill marriage equality, which it looks like we very well may get in this legislative session?

SP:  I think that there’s no question that the Washington Supreme Court is going to strike down DOMA, because they have conflicting statutes so they will strike down DOMA which says marriage is between a man and a woman.  I think that’s a given.  And once that is stricken down, will we become a Mecca for Californians?  You know, check out the [Seattle] P-I’s article on climate refugees.  The truth is, we’re expecting, I think there are going to be millions of people fleeing California once the starvation program begins down there.

LS:  Well you’ve thrown out a lot of interesting thoughts here today Steve, and you’ll be posting thing on your website.  We’ll have a link to you from ours, and I wanna get you back on the program now and then to keep us posted on some of this stuff you’re dealing with on the federal level.

Yes, do keep us posted on Mr. Pidgeon’s doings, Larry.  He’s the best voter repellent you could apply.

And now, the animated short:

Well I come here not as a politician, but I come here under the authority of Jesus Christ, and I’ve come to speak to you about the truth.  But it has been said that same-sex marriage is no big deal.  It is merely the granting of a civil right to two consenting adults who love each other.  It is time for us to examine that, and to understand what we are talking about when we are talking about human rights.

Human rights, to be human rights, must be god-ordained.  Rights that are granted by men are not rights, they are privileges.  If a man grants you the right to speak freely, he can rescind it.  If a man grants you the right to freely worship, he can rescind it. It is only god that can grant rights, and god has ordained rights.  And he has ordained these rights that spring from the prohibitive edicts that arise from the Ten Commandments.

Thou shalt not murder.  From that prohibition comes our right to life.  It does not spring from the state’s recognition that you might have a right to live, it springs from god’s edict.  He is the author and perfecter of our faith and the creator of all life, he gets to define what the right is and how it exists.

The First Commandment states, I am the lord thy god thou shalt have no gods before me.  Our first right, our first primary right is to hold god as an authority superior to the state.  Now the state would do will to listen because there is an authority to which this legislature, this governor and this supreme court will answer!

The Ten Commandments provides honor thy father and mother, which is another edict from which the right of every child to a father and a mother springs.  This is a fundamental human right.  This state needs to recognize it.  Instead the state is at war with the family.  And this sanctuary of worship to the demons of Olympus is stained with the blood of the casualties of this war, most of whom are children.

There is no god-ordained right to same-sex marriage.  Let’s be clear about that.  There is only a state-granted privilege.  Marriage is the cultural heart and expression of a society’s relationship with god.  You know in the Jewish tradition, the man would engage himself to the wife.  And when he became engaged, he would return to his parent’s house, where he would build a mansion, a room for his wife.  His wife would wait expectantly for him to return, but he could not return to his wife until the father said that the house was ready.  So no man knew the hour when the bridegroom would return to the bride.

We all know as Christians that Christ Jesus is the bridegroom and the church is the bride.  Marriage, and the practice of marriage in Judeo-Christian culture since the fall of Rome, has been one that reflects our relationship with god.  This is the practice.  This is how we raise our children and this is why we have developed the marriage the way it is, because it reflects our relationship with god.

The state, on the other hand, seeks to supplant its wisdom in the place of god, who ordain marriages as the union of a man and a woman.  And we declare that what he had put together, let no man put asunder.  That doesn’t mean just the marriage of this man and this woman, but the institution of marriage.

Our state has seen fit to give political meaning the the ethics of the perverse Alfred Kinsey and the pornography of Playboy magazine which are the genesis and the source of no-fault marriage, for those of you that don’t know it.  Ask the children of this state if no-fault divorce is in the best interest of the child.  The 20,000 divorces here in this state testify to the efficacy of this epic.

Now the state, who’s at war with our families, seeks to give us same-sex marriage.  Let’s make no bones about this: this is an act of aggression, and an act of war against the family.  Same-sex marriage as a political policy is moral fascism.  This [unintelligible] begins with the recognition of the “right” for same-sex couples to marry, and is quickly followed by anti-discrimination laws, hate speech laws, and criminal sanctions for those who are unwilling to renounce their relationship with god in order to embrace the deviant edicts of the state.

Go to Whitehouse dot gov, slash civil rights, you can go to this website this afternoon, and it has quite a plethora of issues there.  You’ll find out exactly what the federal government has planned to enforce this moral fascism.  You’ll find hate speech laws, anti-discrimination laws, the gutting of the Defense of Marriage Act, the abolition of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell in favor of open homosexual service in the military.  This is the agenda for me, and you and our families.

What is the cost of same-sex marriage?  We’ve already heard Representative Shea say it’s going to be at least 30 million.  That doesn’t include the cost of same-sex divorce.  Which by the way is 8 times higher among homosexual men, and 300 times higher among homosexual women.

But the cost to us as a society to have same-sex marriage, the abolition of free speech.  Who knew that by granting the right of two people who are consenting adults to marry, that the next thing you know, we wouldn’t be able to say Leviticus twenty in public.  Or Romans one twenty in public.  Or to even make the remark or even infer that homosexuality that might be a sin.

And in cultures that have adopted same-sex marriage and hate speech laws, the mere recitation that I am a Christian is considered an act of hate.  Eventually it results in the abolition of the family, it results in the abolition of the church, churches have refused, eh, in case you didn’t know it, Representative Barney Frank has a bill out called ENDA, Employment Non-Discrimination Act.  This act is will be imposed on churches, who will be required to hire people who are of homosexual, bisexual, sexual transgendered, identity expression, in the churches, and if they don’t they will lose their tax-exempt status.

Same-sex marriage is the sword of the state in this Gettysburg battle between the godly state built on families, and the secular state built on humanism, Marxism and paganism.  This is not merely the granting of civil rights to people who are in love, this is an assault on the traditions of the Judeo-Christian society as has been practiced in the Western world since the collapse of Rome.  And make no mistake about it, should the secular state prevail, its fate will be that of Rome.  And remember, and I give you this as a word of encouragement, that no matter what government has come and gone, no matter what empire has arised, no matter what king has asserted himself as god or emperor has declared himself to be a deity, at the end of the day all of those states have collapsed, and the family has survived.  In the name of god, amen.

I honestly believe that Stickney and Pidgeon do not know how certifiable they sound to regular people, and thank goodness for that.  I anticipate that Larry will post additional video fragments from the anti-equality rally as the days go on because the rally is the last “accomplishment” he can point to.  He needs to make the most of it.  Isn’t it interesting that he hasn’t posted Gary Randall’s video from the event.  I guess he finally understands the need to distance himself from the embarrassment of collaborating with a manipulative, carpetbagging tax cheat who plays shell games with donors.

As it is sometimes instructive to string together pearls of wisdom on one cord, here then is
