By the time you read this post, I’ll have been in a Washington Independent staff meeting for two hours. I’m not sure when it’s supposed to end, and as you can see, I’ve scheduled posts to run while I’m in the meeting, but to play it safe and not have the blog go dark, I’m going to post some links for stuff to read while I’m indisposed:

— Fred Kaplan explains the defense budget fight over missile defense and the F-22

— A former Army Ranger who used to work for Gen. Stanley "The Pope" McChrystal really likes Stanley "The Pope" McChrystal and isn’t afraid to get extremely jargony

— Does McChrystal’s appointment to head the U.S. war effort in Afghanistan imply that we’re going to ramp up support for Afghan tribal security auxiliaries?

— Spend some time thinking about the aftermath of a U.S. bomb raid

Adam Serwer on Obama’s military commissions

— It’s swine-flu time/ in Hollis, Queens

— Sex advice from a celibate monk that Jezebel surely only published to tittilate men and demean the feminist cause

Linkblogging is the easiest thing ever.
