The GOP is Officially Michael Steele’s Party Now

mcsteele.thumbnail.jpgMC Steele told some Maryland Republicans last night that the GOP needs to be more like him. Really.

Embattled Republican National Committee Chairman Michael S. Steele lashed out at GOP infighting Tuesday and urged the party faithful – some of whom have criticized his erratic statements – to be more like him: "unconventional, unpredictable … to do from time to time the unexpected."

How’s this for unconventional?

Thursday’s press conference given by House Republicans was expected to be the unveiling of the GOP budget proposal; but the document announced by Representative John Boehner(R-OH) turned out to be a simple blue-print of conservative values, lacking any real budget numbers.

Unpredictable? Got that covered, too.

Sarah Palin is out and Newt Gingrich is in. Congressional Republicans decided Tuesday to ditch the former GOP vice presidential nominee in favor of the former House speaker for the critical House-Senate fundraising dinner in June 8 in Washington. It’s the marquee Republican event to raise money for GOP House and Senate candidates.

Sources familiar with the Palin snub fumed about how the governor handled this.

"She was a disaster," one Republican source told FOX News. "We had confirmation."

And unexpected? Booyah!

Paul Ryan reaches deep into the conservative movement’s storehouse of ideas on America’s most pressing policy programs and comes up with an innovative agenda of tax cuts mostly tilted toward the wealthy and corporations paired with a five-year freeze on discretionary spending.

It’s Steele’s house. They’re just livin’ in it.
