I was about to write about Joe the Plumber’s bizarre comments at the Media Research Center’s Gala last night. And they’re worth noting.

But while scanning through their website I came across these rather revealing remarks by Brit Hume, who received MRC’s "William F. Buckley Award for Wingnut Propaganda Media Excellence."

Said Hume:

"I want to say a word of thanks to Brent [Bozell] and to the team at the Media Research Center…not only just for this wonderfully fine award… but also for the tremendous amount of material that the Media Reseach Center provided me for so many years when I was anchoring "Special Report" — I don’t know what I would’ve done without them. It was a daily buffet of material to work from and we certainly made tremendous use of it."

So Faux News’ prime-time anchor for 12 years was a sockpuppet of the same wingnut welfare slush fund that runs Newsbusters.

We distort. You decide.
