This has been a rather annoying Monday. The ether absconded with a project I've been working on, which I was able to relatively hastily reproduce ahead of deadline. That was enough. Then, out of the blue, I get an email from someone I don't know at my organization — in my WORK inbox, with lovely tidbits like this:

For instance (and I paraphrase), when a girl asks the question “Why am I a lesbian?” His answer is that she was 'born that way' because of genetics (just as you were born right-handed,  with brown eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to go out and “celebrate” her differences.

…juxtaposed with…

Not only are these books the false doctrine of the devil, but in some instances quote (in error) the Word of God.

This is not the day for me to have to deal with this phobic crap polluting my inbox.

When I read threatening, idiotic biblefarts that echo the drivel they use over and OVER and over to hoodwink populations into voting to constitutionally enshrine discrimination against people like me:

Our children are under attack. So I pray that you be sober and vigilant about teaching your children the Word of God, and guarding their exposure to worldly mediums, because our adversary, the devil, roams about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8).

…my first inclination is to make a nasty, expletive-laden telephone call directly to the person from whose inbox the stench emanated. But, honestly, that would be sinking to their level. I couldn't possibly give them the satisfaction…and threaten my job security in this economy.

I would like to tell this person, listen, you homophobic, holier-than-thou, better-than-her Pharisee:  you don't have a damn clue what it's like for your children to be under attack. You don't know what it's like to BE under attack.

You don't know what it's like to live someplace where you look over your shoulder when you hold the hand of the person you love. You don't have a f**king clue what it's like to want deeply to raise a family and give a loving home to a child, and to desperately want out of living where you are because you know that if you bring a child into THAT community, the child will have a target on her head from day one. People will treat her like abject sh*t because her daddies love one another and want to form a committed lifelong relationship as foundation for a loving home. This is what people like you call an abomination. You call anything remotely supportive the “false doctrine of the devil”, and you do everything you can to make sure we can't live comfortably and expect to enjoy the same rights and privileges that you and yours take for f**king granted.

Pardon me, but will you kindly f**k off?

When you, in the oh-so-moral majority, have gotten off your high horse, and adequately fed and housed the world, ended forced sex slavery, stopped abusing your gay children by sending them to torturous re-education gulags, finished war (oh wait, that benefits you, never mind), protected and comforted vulnerable millions subjected each year to natural disaster, stopped genocide, reversed the greed that has choked the world economy, and cured and prevented worldwide disease (oh wait, except AIDS – heaven forbid someone use a f**king condom), then maybe…MAYBE…just possibly…I might be willing to let you turn your accomplished gaze to a discussion of the merits of my loving relationship and a safe, stable home that would like nothing more than to be left. the. f%&k. alone.

Oh, and yes, that's a violation of user policy. F%&k off.
