NEWS!! INTERNATIONAL GLBTQ Youth Network Announced.

This is newest blog from Michael Jones, moderator of GAY RIGHTS Cause on change.org.  As one commenter related to me, he considers Michael a 'gentrified incrementalist in the mold of Joe S.'  But I must say Michael either has more time or is really getting into it! Over 10,000 members now…JOIN get your voice heard. We must be able to get people lover numbers up over the Animal Rights Lovers right?  Oh that's right Animals won in California last November, people lost.

Well..anyway this describes an attempt to reach internationally to GLBTQ…and A hopefully youth.

To paraphrase the next occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, “People of the world, this is our moment….there is no challenge too great for a world that stands as one.”  Two LGBT organizations are taking that call to heart, with the formation of a new network meant to bring together gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender youth around the globe.

The LGBT Youth World List is a project of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Youth and Student Organisation and the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association.  What do they promise?  Well, the largest network of LGBT young people and activists, willing to share their thoughts on LGBT rights and campaigns.  As Nanna Moe, a Communications Officer with the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association said: “This will create a global conversation about LGBT rights, allowing young people to make contact and work together in an international fight for respect.”

Individuals can join the network by becoming members of an email group, which is monitored by both organizations to foster safety and security for LGBT youth and activists in countries where LGBT rights are not recognized and/or where homosexuality is criminalized.

So here is a new youth involvement paradigm. We’ll see how it goes.

Go for it all, and tell them about the BLEND, while you are at it.
