On the lighter side: “Scrooge in Rouge” playing in New Orleans
If you are in or close to New Orleans, hie thee down to Le Chat Noir, 715 St. Charles Ave., Friday and Saturday nights before 8pm or Sunday before either 2pm or 6pm for Scrooge in Rouge: A British Musical Hall Christmas Carol. More, and a very funny video clip, below the fold.
The premise is interesting: It is 1843 and a troupe of mediocre actors is putting on an unauthorized version of the recently published "A Christmas Carol." Problem is, nearly all of them have come down with food poisoning, leaving only three people to fill all the roles regardless of gender. Here is a clip:
