The website prayforsarahpalin.com asks Christians to pray for Palin but heck, what about the rest of us?

I PLEDGE: to pray for peace, protection

and wisdom for Sarah Palin and her family.

Well, gosh, the heathens, pagans, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims and less mainstream faiths may have some prayers of their own. I offer these:

I pray that Sarah Palin will gain insight into the human condition; that she judge not lest she judged; that she recalls the words of her savior, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" (Matthew 24:35-36).

Or how about:

 Great Goddess, guide Sarah Palin to learn the sacredness of the earth; of the Beluga whale and baby seal; the salmon and the polar bear; the puffin and penguin; the moose and squirell; the wolf. Inspire her to be their protector; to guard their environment and to stop raping our sister the earth. And that she learns man and dinosaurs did not live at the same time. 

Or:

I pray Sarah Palin stops trying to shove her nutbag, right wing, lunatic, escatological scat down the throats of Americans–oh heck, the global community–and that for the good of all concerned her  crazy-ass theocratic, totalitarian ideology looses at the polls so she can go back to Alaska. Or get a talk show that will be cancelled after eight weeks–but which will give us teh lulz and delicious schadenfreude–and then go back to Alaska. Amen.
