Blake Lively and Penn Badgley two of the stars of Gossip Girl join other young actors in a new pro-Obama television commercial. The ad, a parody of drug prevention ads, encourages young people to talk to their parents about the consequences of voting for John McCain.

The joke is continued on the Partnership for a McCain-Free America website, which features the ad as well as real talking points young folks can use to have "the conversation."

Released by Political Action, as  part of MoveOn’s Youth Vote program, is directed by Bourne Identity/ Mr. and Mrs. Smith director Doug Liman. The 30-second spot will air nationally during Gossip Girl as well as on MTV and Comedy Central in university towns in North Carolina and Nevada. gossip-girl-omfg2-195x260.thumbnail.jpg
