Knight joins Lili Tomlin as proudly out No on 8 financial supporters;  Tomlin was the special guest at a No on 8 fundraiser last weekend. After Brad Pitt and Steven Spielberg each gave $100K to to No on 8, Ohio entrepreneur Jonathan Lewis issued a challenge to Los Angeles’s entertainment industry: If show biz shows No on 8 the money, raising $500,000 for No on Prop. 8, and he and his family will match the contributions dollar for dollar.  The band Fall Out Boy donated $50,000 as the first step in that challenge after lead singer Pete Wentz attended an No on 8 fundraiser.

And as of today, No on 8 is ahead in the polls, per Equality California. But the No-sayers need stars to stop giving lip service and put their money where their mouths are.

Ellen and Elton have yet to give. GAlways-talking-about-her-gays Kathy Griffin hasn’t ponied up any do-ri-mi, either. Nor have lots of others who are, know or work with LGBT. WTF?!

Consider that as of today, California has performed more gay marriages since June than Massachusetts has in four years–honey, we need that queer-wedding revenue. Donate to No on 8 not only to save gay marriage, but also to help save our state’s economy.
