Is McCain out of touch?

There’s not a word about “don’t ask, don’t tell” on McCain’s campaign Web site. But in a November 2006 interview on ABC’s This Week, McCain pointed to that policy in affirming that he’s pro-gay rights.

I sit here bewildered that a sitting US Senator and candidate for President of the United States of America is so completely out of touch that he thinks DADT is “pro gay rights”.

I keep trying to write more, but I keep getting stuck when I realize how bizarre this is. I can’t even parody this.Even the most conservative neocon has to look at this guy and wonder:

“Is he insane?”

“Is he senile?”

“Is he stupid?”

“Is he that out of touch?”

“Does he think the American people are stupid?”

There is something seriously amiss with McCain’s perception of reality, or the gullibility of Americans in accepting his Revised World Reality (RWR).

On the other hand…

…who’s up for “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” for Republicans? Based on their behavior when caught, I don’t think I want to know about their private lives.
