GRITtv: ‘Ambush Journalism’

Today on GRITtv we analyze the fallout from the Conference on Media Reform in our media roundtable. Was the "ambush" of Bill Moyers by a producer from the O’Reilly Factor legitimate journalism? Is that kind of tenacity going too far, or does it represent an attitude that should be adopted by other independent journalists? We also discuss who is really feeling the impact from the economic woes, and the latest twists and turns Presidential politics. On the panel today is Katharine Zaleski, senior editor at the Huffington Post, Robert George, New York Post editorial writer and political blogger, and Doug Henwood, editor of the Left Business Observer.

Also coming into the studio is Susan Greenwood, author of Wrestling With the Angel of Democracy, and Dan Kane from the local teamster chapter reminding us what it means to unite the country. Also in this broadcast is Laura’s speech from the Conference on Media Reform on race and gender.

And like always we’ll be showing your videos, with tonight’s show featuring the FLUX media bus.
