A thread on a Christian discussion board brought up an interesting question – what do we value in families?

While the ADF, CWA, FotF, etc. support the value that “marriage is between one man and one woman”, do we have any standards?

Among the non-traditional-families represented on the thread came ideas such as:

• Mutual support.
  

• Respect.
  

• Nurturing.
  

• Compassion.
