Clinton Calvinball

Rules? We don’ need no steekin’ rules

From one of the shrieky fucking idiots over at No Clinton, No Peace:

Let’s start with the obvious. Sullivan is a lunatic. He groups Bill and Hillary together into this nice neat little bundle that he can blaspheme with impunity.

But, oh wait, it gets better:

Earth to Andrew Sullivan. Not that it matters because you are clearly too stupid to understand something so simple as a fact or two. But for your followers and all the rest of the Cult-Aide addicts, here is a little refresher course in reality.

First of all, Hillary had no say whatsoever in the decision of the DNC to disenfranchise Florida and Michigan. None. Whatsoever. Did you get that Andrew? Or am I speaking too fast for you?

The next thing an idiot like you needs to understand is that the DNC threatened sanctions against ANY candidate that did not honor their decision. I realize it is a little difficult for a dumb ass like you to comprehend but do you at least get this part Andrew? The candidates were threatened if they would have campaigned so they agreed not to do so. Hillary honored the pledge. Obama did not.

Obama is the one that violated the rules Andrew. I realize he is your Great Black Hope. And I get that he gives you wood. More power to ya bucko. But he is the one that violated the rules he agreed to abide by. Not Hillary. Get a frickin grip.

Three of the major Democratic presidential candidates on Saturday pledged not to campaign in Florida, Michigan and other states trying to leapfrog the 2008 primary calendar, a move that solidified the importance of the opening contests of Iowa and New Hampshire.

Hours after Senator Barack Obama of Illinois and former Senator John Edwards of North Carolina agreed to sign a loyalty pledge put forward by party officials in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York followed suit. The decision seemed to dash any hopes of Mrs. Clinton relying on a strong showing in Florida as a springboard to the nomination.

“We believe Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina play a unique and special role in the nominating process,” Patti Solis Doyle, the Clinton campaign manager, said in a statement.

Hillary Clinton will never be President of the United States.

I can say that because, going back a year or so ago, my wife and I fully expected that Hillary Clinton would get the nomination and that we would be voting for her in November. But somewhere along the way, things didn’t go as planned and Barack Obama became the better bet. I think a lot of people noticed that change in the weather including the Clinton group. And it was at that time that her people decided that, if they couldn’t raise a village of Clinton voters, they were going to destroy the village.

Quite frankly I have never seen such a gross example of intellectual dishonesty, disregard for reality on the ground, and shamelessness since, well, actually the last time Bill Kristol was on TV, but never mind that.

We won’t vote for her. The reality on the ground for us is that we do pretty well for ourselves under a Republican administration and I would be willing to take my chances with a solidly Democratic congress, but without her. Sorry folks, but there are a lot of people like us. I know that we’re all supposed to join hands and pull together for a greater more progressive tomorrow and yadda yadda yadda…. but when it comes to Hillary Clinton, fuck that noise. My contempt for her has reached the Lieberman line.

There is one thing that I truly believe in and that is fairness. You may not like the rules, but once you agree to them, you play by them. Hillary Clinton can’t even manage to do someting as simple as that.

She doesn’t deserve to be the first woman president.

She won’t be.
