Dan Balz in the WaPo: "Democratic strategists will be looking at Obama’s performance in Pennsylvania. ‘If the returns from cities like Erie and Cresson indicate he still hasn’t closed the sale with blue-collar voters, that would be a huge vulnerability for him,’ wrote Rick Sloan, communications director for the International Association of Machinists, which has endorsed Clinton."
Markos predicts an 8 point Clinton win, which "would be good news for her campaign. If people expect 11 points, then she underperforms and looks weak."
Politico: "In order for Clinton to win a decisive victory of 10 points or more, she needs to win two-thirds of the votes in a group of eight industrial-oriented counties, each of which has 55,000 or more registered Democrats. Those counties are Lackawanna (Scranton) and Luzerne (Wilkes-Barre) in the Northeast, Erie in the Northwest, Cambria County (Johnstown), and the Pittsburgh-area counties of Westmoreland, Fayette, Beaver, and Washington."
