The Peter chides C-SPAN for airing openly gay bishop's speech

The Illinois-based anti-homosexualist and undercover “gay lifestyle” investigator must have too much time on his hands these days, and most certainly needs to fill the coffers over at Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality. Look at LaBarbera’s hysterical screed (I’m not linking).

C-SPAN helped homosexual Episcopal Bishop of New Hampshire Vicky Gene Robinson – he was named such because his parents wanted a girl – plead his heretical case to America by airing his speech twice on Christmas Eve night.

In the speech, Robinson discussed his plan to enter into a “civil union” with his homosexual lover, saying he always wanted to be a “June bride.” The bishop claimed (against all evidence in Scripture) that the Holy Spirit is involved in the crusade for more open homosexuals like him in the clergy.

Write C-SPAN CEO Brian Lamb (viewer@c-span.org) or call him (202-737-3220) to protest this holiday programming choice that was deeply offensive to Bible-believing Christians.

Urge C-SPAN to balance Robinson’s lecture by covering a presentation by evangelical Dr. Michael Brown in Charlotte, North Carolina next month titled, “Can you be gay and Christian?”

OK. Who is Dr. Brown and what kind of “balance” will he provide? Daddy D’s pray-away-the-gay evangelism. Read about it after the jump.Take a look:

Dr. Michael L. Brown is founder and president of ICN Ministries, which is devoted to taking the message of repentance and revival to Israel, the Church, and the Nations. He met the Lord in 1971 as a sixteen year-old, heroin-shooting, LSD-using Jewish rock drummer.

…As a Jewish believer in Jesus, Dr. Brown is active in Jewish evangelism, debating rabbis on radio, TV, and college campuses, as well as teaching the Church about God’s eternal purposes for Israel and the Jewish people. He is also a published Old Testament and Semitic scholar, holding a Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Literatures from New York University. He has served as a visiting professor at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Fuller Theological Seminary, School of World Mission, and the King’s Seminary. He is also the host of the new, Jewish outreach TV show, Think It Thru.

Out of his burden to see God’s people rise up as a prophetic witness to society, he established the Coalition of Conscience in Charlotte, North Carolina, and he is now fully engaged in reaching out to homosexual men and women with compassion while taking a strong stand against homosexual activism. His involvement now includes being a regular speaker at Focus on the Family’s Love Won Out conferences.

If you dare, read Brown’s amazing testimony, “From LSD to Ph.D.” on his web site. It’s certainly an interesting read, as he details his personal past demons, including one incident he describes that occurred while he was under the influence of “enough mescaline for thirty people.”

Then, at that late hour of the night, a friend of my parents came by, walking his dog. He looked at me with shock as I screamed, “I’m burning in hell!” I was shocked too. “Why is he walking his dog in hell?” I wondered.

No wonder that The Peter wants to get this guy on C-SPAN.
