Sunday Talking Head Thread

rufhummer.jpgHere’s the Sunday talking head line-up (partially via AP and C-Span):

C-Span’s Washington Journal — 7:45am – Mark Halperin, Time Magazine, Senior Political Analyst | The Page; 8:30am – Newspaper Articles & Viewer Calls; 9am – Najmaldin Karim, Washington Kurdish Institute, Founder and President; 9:30am – Maen Areikat, PLO Negotiations Affairs Department, Director General.

ABC’s “This Week” — Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.; Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif.

CBS’ “Face the Nation” — Sens. Carl Levin, D-Mich., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.

NBC’s “Meet the Press” — Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn.

CNN’s “Late Edition” — Nabi Sensoy, Turkish ambassador; Mohamed ElBaradei, International Atomic Energy Agency chief; Sens. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., and Trent Lott, R-Miss.; former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.

“Fox News Sunday” — First lady Laura Bush and Gov.-elect and Rep. Bobby Jindal, R-La.

Congratulations (condolences?) to ABC’s This Week for winning the most craptastic guest line-up award this week.  Blergh.  But Sen. Dodd on MtP and Mohamed ElBaradei on Late Edition both promise to be quite interesting, indeed, given the news of the past week and what is likely to be in the news next week.  Rule of law and Iran, anyone?

So, what’s catching your eye on the blogs or in the news this morning?

Today’s gorgeous shot of a rufous hummingbird comes from Julie’s Magic Light Show.  Julie got some great shots of this little guy.  Have to say, I have never seen one on the east coast anywhere near our feeders or flowers, so this one is quite a find — they are primarily a west coast species, I believe.  Julie has a lovely series on the little guy that is well worth a peek.  Found this bird feeder tips article yesterday, and thought others might find some of the information in it useful.  Enjoy.

PS — I will be on the Sam Seder Show this afternoon at 5 pm ET/2 pm PT.  You can listen live here.
