Never Give Up, Never Surrender

Some scenes from Galaxy Quest…

Sometimes, you just hit that point in the week when you need a laughter break.  And I think we hit it today.  So, for your viewing pleasure, I give you my very favorite scene in all of the movie Galaxy Questthe pig lizard scene (YouTube).  (“Look around you.  Can you fashion a rudimentary lathe?”  Mwahahahahaha…yes, I really am that nerdy.)

Even a snarky parody movie of Star Trek fandom can find a good nugget, and it is this line:  “Never give up, never surrender.”  You are damn right I’ll keep on going.  It may be a frustrating week, but sometimes, you still need to laugh.  Do share your favorites in the comments.  I think we could all use a little Friday break…and I’d love to know what makes you laugh these days.

PS:  Take some time today to contact your members of Congress and let them know how you feel about George Bush’s failure in Iraq — and that you expect them to act and not just sit in a holding pattern.  They’d love to hear your dulcet tones, I’m certain.  (H/T to katymine for the following numbers)
