The secret in the Hydra

What happens when you put Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ; Larry Burkett, founder of Christian Financial Concepts; Rev. James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family; Rev. D. James Kennedy, founder of Coral Ridge Ministries; Marlin Maddoux, President of International Christian Media; Don Wildmon, founder of American Family Association; and Alan Sears all in the same room with 15 million dollars?

You get lawyers.

Lawyers paid to destroy civil rights.

Seriously, now. Think about this for a minute. Look at those names. think about what they have in common.

All are calvinisitic in theology.

All are vociferously anti-gay.

The combined wealth represented by *just* those names is half a billion dollars — in a constant stream.  And they have influence or alliance with another half a billion dollars.

Follow the money from and around those names, and you come consistently and constantly to organizations which are inciting fear and then using it to fund their activities and political goals.

Goals they’ve made absolutely no bones about.

They want to change the Bill of Rights. They want to disarm and change the Constitution.

and, most of all, they want every last gay, bi, and Transgender person in the United states stripped of citizenship and killed, exiled, or forced to convert.

And if you are a woman, well, Margaret Atwood has a pretty good story to tell you.

Pretty scary thought, huh?

What’s worse, is its true. The organizations that are aligned against us are many. Some are little more than mockeries, others are outright hate groups that are skating by.

They use lies, deceit, and, most importantly, they use their ability to frame the arguments to sway and  suggest.

They *count* on militancy. Militancy is in their favor.

But, most of all, they count on their framing of the issues to aid them, since the base their framing on LGBT structures.

Then they slowly twist them a little.

And this is brought to the fore, and harnessed, most powerfully, by the Alliance Defense Fund.

This is what those people created.  Its based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

They are the anti-aclu, to some, but they are much more than that. They are fully set up to do such wonderful things as draft legislation, lobby, litigate, and go to trial.

Check it out.  And tell me if they don’t scare the hell out of you.

And then remember that they’ve been doing it for over a decade.
