Message of the day from every single show: Iraq is not going well — at all — but the Bush Administration isn’t likely to be honest with us, or themselves, about that. Welcome to the Sunday morning spin zone.
Today’s photo of a ruby-throated hummingbird comes from Julie’s Magic Light Show. Adorable shot, isn’t it? I have a very territorial ruby-throat who has adopted the flowers on my front porch — and defends them with everything he has. Including from our dachshund as she goes up and down the stairs to get to the yard for her constitutional — which is not appreciated by the doxie, let me tell you.
I found this great video clip from the BBC and David Attenborough on hummingbirds, and thought everyone would enjoy it. Guaranteed to give you a smile this morning. They truly are like little winged jewels, aren’t they?
PS — Happiest of Father’s Days to all our FDL dads! 🙂
