U.S. Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN) dropped into the 6th District last week (that’s homo-hating Michele Bachmann’s turf) to speak to local Republicans and pole-stroke. [Former Air America host Al Franken hopes to unseat Coleman in 2008].

Eva and Avidor from Lloydletta and Dump Michele Bachmann were there. Avidor couldn’t tape, so he covered the event in the cartoon at left (click to enlarge).

Avidor and I went to the circus. We were not allowed to video tape speeches in the convention room. This is from my notes of what Norm Coleman said during his speech. Coleman was effusive in his praise for Michele Bachmann: “Thank you, thank you for bringing Michele Bachmann to the nation’s capitol. She’s got the drive to represent the 6th district.” He went on to say that the  Republican party is the party of “limited government and unlimited opportunity.” He mentions “hatemongers” on the left and “Rosie OConnel” [sic].

Bachmann, who attempted to eat Dear Leader during the State of the Union Address back in January, has said about gays, “It’s a very sad life. It’s part of Satan, I think, to say this is gay. It’s anything but gay.”
