FDL Book Salon Welcomes Jeffrey Feldman

097719729801_sclzzzzzzz_aa240_.jpgJeffrey Feldman caused quite the stir when his new book, Framing the Debate got reviewed at the New York Times this past weekend:

"My book in the NYT!" I told my family, jumping up and down with joy. But the thrill was fleeting.  Rising at dawn Easter morning to buy the paper, I quickly realized that the NYT "review" of my book was little more than a pretentious stunt by a gotcha journalist. One thousand words later, I stood accused of radiating "cynicism" and "undemocratic" vision, of treating the public like "Pavlovian" dogs, and of infecting the world with "insidious" immorality on par with the murderers of Julius Caesar.

Et tu, Feldman?

We're delighted to have Jeffrey joining us this Sunday, April 15, for the FDL Book Salon to discuss his book and what it's like to be "Fairbanksed."

Also of note — the following Sunday (April 22)  we'll be joined by  Carlo Bonini and Giuseppe D'Avanzo, the La Republica reporters who broke the story of the Niger forgeries.  They will be discussing their book, Collusion: International Espionage and the War on Terror .  Sy Hirsch said, "With this inquiry, Bonini and D'Avanzo have reached the highest level of investigative journalism."  High priase indeed.

See you there.
