The Empty Wig says she'll run again in 2008

Damn. I thought that I wouldn’t have to deal with this hack anymore. The rumors were flying that my useless senator, Elizabeth “Sugar Lips” Dole, was not going to run for re-election in ’08.

Lane Hudson, who blogged at Stop Sex Predators anonymously before being “outed” at Radar Online, reported the news at his new blog called News for the Left, citing a “confidential source on Capitol Hill.” He claims that in the aftermath of the Republican Party’s failure to secure their majority in the US Senate, Dole has become so “completely demoralized” that she is no longer interested in standing for re-election.

Senator Dole’s Office was contacted earlier in the day by RAW STORY. Several hours later, they responded via e-mail that “Senator Dole is running for re-election in 2008.”

Oh well, I guess that I will be very busy until 2008 working to unseat this woman.

Dole really should be demoralized after her performance as head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.  She said right after the election that she “worked her head off” to hold the Senate. No comment.

Her lackluster talents (at least in the area of recruiting candidates, and oh, representing Tar Heels)  were quite evident in the election results. Think about some of the losers she had to spin for and raise money for — Conrad Burns (named one of the nation’s five worst senators by Time), Katherine Harris (’nuff said), George Allen (god, where do you begin), Rick Santorum. That’s her legacy. She’s ineffective, corrupt, unresponsive, and a ridiculously incompetent party hack

* There’s the dirty campaign cash problem. And she had to give that Abramoff cash away.

* And I loved that bottom-feeder, bush-league intimidation of voters with a “mandatory” survey.

* What about her blame of the Dems for an attack on a blogger by George Allen’s goons?

* How about the fact that the spokesman for NRSC, Brian Walton, a gay man, churned out anti-gay drivel in the Montana race?

Liddy Dole, btw, assured the self-loathing homos working in her Senate office that if they were outed, she wouldn’t fire them. In the same breath, I wonder if she didn’t mind telling them that she supported the federal marriage amendment to show her respect for their relationships? I wrote the ninny about FMA and look at the pathetic response from her office.

She’s got to go.
