Qs of the day
I have a couple for you:
1. Predictions: Who is going to take the fall for the Foley debacle? Anyone?
2. Put on your career counseling hat. What advice would you give Mark Foley regarding his next move? (I’m almost dying laughing while typing this one, I guess he might be making license plates in a short while). Be creative.
“I would drive a few miles for a hot stud like you.”
Another Hastert backstabber, heheheheheheheh.
Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-La., the congressman who sponsored the page at the heart of the furor, said Hastert “knew about the e-mails that we knew about,” including one in which Foley asked the page to send his picture.
But it’s nice to know the Christian Coalition’s got his back…
the Christian Coalition said it was standing behind Hastert, and Arizona Republican Rep. John Shadegg circulated a “Dear Colleague” letter in support of Hastert, saying calls for the speaker to resign were “unwarranted and fundamentally unfair.”
Viguerie: clean out the House leadership
If the conservative icon Richard Viguerie is ready to cut off the head, the GOP is toast. Americablog is reporting that Viguerie has issued a release calling for the entire House leadership to resign. And he spells out why.
And, of course, it’s an open thread…
