Focus on the Anus drops into St. Paul
Eva and Avidor of Lloydletta are brave. They dared to attend Daddy Dobson‘s “voter education” rally in St. Paul, Minnesota last night (it was held at the Xcel Energy Center) and brought back video from the rally (posts here and here). Some of the highlights of the insanity, courtesy of the St. Paul Pioneer Press:
“Marriage between a man and woman has been the norm. It has been designed by God in the Garden of Eden,” [WTF?] Dobson said from the main stage of the Roy Wilkins Auditorium, standing before a two-story American flag. “That is the definition of family, and that is the way God himself the creator designed it at the dawn of mankind.”
It was the last topic, primarily, that drew a group of about 350 protesters, who congregated across from the Xcel Center just as attendees were entering. Family Action organizers estimated almost 3,000 people attended the rally, which also included speakers Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, and former presidential candidate Gary Bauer.
Dobson has been squawking about filling the seats, but lookee — the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul’s official capacity is 18,834 and only 3,000 showed up. A repeat of Pittsburgh, where the Focus on the Anus master only drew 3,000 to a 17,000-seats venue in Pittsburgh.
