Foley interrupted floor vote to have cybersex with page

[UPDATES added below…]

Holy mother of dog. What else will ABC dig up on this creature?

Former Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL) interrupted a vote on the floor of the House in 2003 to engage in Internet sex with a high school student who had served as a congressional page, according to new Internet instant messages provided to ABC News by former pages.

ABC News now has obtained 52 separate instant message exchanges, which former pages say were sent by Foley, using the screen name Maf54, to two different boys under the age of 18.

View the PDF of it here. Foley and the teen both describe having sexual orgasms, according to Brian Ross’s report, and he also entices another underage teen page over to his house to consume alcohol.

I’m speechless. All of these GOP clowns who let him run wild need to resign…now.

H/t, Paul.

And the Bush Administration News Service chugs along…

We don’t report, you can’t decide:
Fox News had the emails and didn’t run them.

Blogenfreude is having way too much fun with this, and Shakes Sis takes on the GOP turds who are blaming the homos, like the AmTaliban Arlington Group which is “praying for a moral renewal in our nation.”

The knobends surfacing to release this joint statement (h/t Reality Cubed): Don Wildmon,
Tony Perkins, Gary L. Bauer, Paul Weyrich, Bishop Harry Jackson, Phil Burress, Richard Bott, vice president, Bott Radio Network.

We are very concerned that the early warnings of Mr. Foley’s odd behavior toward young male pages may have been overlooked or treated with deference, fearing a backlash from the radical gay rights movement because of Mr. Foley’s sexual orientation. It appears that the integrity of the conservative majority has given way to political correctness, trading the virtues of decency and respect for that of tolerance and diversity. No one should be surprised at the results of such a tragic exchange.

…The Foley scandal is just one more reminder that America desperately needs to return to the Judeo-Christian values that have served as a foundation of our nation from its inception.

HRC climbs out of the time machine again to comment, now that it’s safe to pile on. Where were they last week? Joe Solmonese:

“The language from high-level conservatives in the last couple of days has been deeply troubling. They continue to try and dodge responsibility for their cover-up, instead opting to do what they do best by blaming gays,” said Solmonese. “It is completely unacceptable, regardless of party or sexual orientation, for an adult to engage in this kind of behavior with a minor. The American people deserve leaders who confront problems and take responsibility, not leaders who excuse their corruption by trying to pin it on others.

“If the Republican leadership cared about the well-being of our country they would level with the American people and call this what it is — inexcusable behavior that has nothing to do with one’s sexual orientation.”

Michael Petrelis brings up a pertinent point…

I have a piece of unsolicited advice for HRC, if it wants to change course and factor in somehow to this major upheaval in the House, weeks before the midterm election.

Ask Foley to return the $27,000 HRC has donated to him since 2000, especially the $2,000 for this election.

Send a message to all members of Congress that HRC is not a bunch of wimps, afraid to stand up and ask a candidate, who just happens to be homosexual, to return a donation, Joe Solmonese.
