I don’t know who thought it was a good idea — scrap that, I do know who thought it was a good idea — to let this guy be the final word as to what constitutes torture:

‘We were terrible to animals,” recalled Mr. Throckmorton, laughing. A dip behind the Bush home turned into a small lake after a good rain, and thousands of frogs would come out.

‘Everybody would get BB guns and shoot them,” Mr. Throckmorton said. ”Or we’d put firecrackers in the frogs and throw them and blow them up.

Yeah, this guy gets to be the decider:

The charges against Delta Kappa Epsilon were made last Friday in a Yale Daily News article that accused campus fraternities of carrying on "sadistic and obscene" initiation procedures.

The charge that has caused the most controversy on the Yale campus is that Delta Kappa Epsilon applied on "hot branding iron" to the small of the back of its 40 new members in the shape of the Greek letter Delta, approximately a half inch wide, appeared with the article.

A former president of Delta that [sic] the branding is done with a hot coathanger.  But the former president, George Bush, a Yale senior, said that the resulting wound is "only a cigarette burn."

This is the list of the members of the Democratic Party who thought trusting him with this decision was a good idea:

Carper (Del.), Johnson (S.D.), Landrieu (La.), Lautenberg (N.J.), Menendez (N.J), Pryor (Ark.), Rockefeller (W. Va.), Salazar (Co.), Stabenow (Mich.), Nelson (Fla.), Nelson (Neb.)

This is the list of the members of the Lieberman 4 Lieberman Party who thought trusting him with this decision was a good idea:

Lieberman (Conn.)

For the record, this is not acceptable behavior either within the Democratic Party or the human race.
