Announcing the FDL Film Salon With Robert Greenwald

We’ve had such unqualified success with the FDL Book Salon that we’ve decided to have a special edition Film Salon next week with our special guest and good friend Robert Greenwald, who will be chatting about his new film Iraq For Sale (you can order the DVD here).

Robert will be joining us next Wednesday, October 4, at 2pm PT/5pm ET to discuss the film.  It’s an extraordinarily important work and many members of this community (including myself) donated money for its production.  Robert sent me a rough cut and it should send chills up the spine of every American that this stuff is being done in our name.

Anyone who is already upset about what is happening with our new torture bill will only find themselves more angry at the YouTube above, a preview of the film regarding CACI, one of the biggest of the war profiteers.  I hope you will join us for this discussion and help to keep this story on the front burner as election season goes forward.  Iraq for Sale presents a good, hard look at where six years of life with George Bush has brought us, and it shows with painful clarity what happens when these people are handed the reigns to anything.  I’m really looking forward to it.
