McCain's 'new bond' with the Chimperor

[UPDATE: The NYT article is up.]

Raw Story is reporting that tomorrow’s NYT will have a front-page story on the ‘new bond’ that Dear Leader and Humpy McTool have formed, despite the history of Bush’s sh*tting repeatedly on McCain.

“After years of competitive and often contentious dealings, President Bush and Sen. John McCain of Arizona are building a deepening if impersonal relationship that is serving the political needs of both men,” Jim Rutenberg and Adam Nagourney write for The Times.

“Either way, it could prove valuable to McCain in his efforts to win the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 by sending a signal to Bush’s conservative base and fundraising network that, at a minimum, the White House will not stand in the Arizonan’s way,” the article continues.

After the way Bush’s 2000 team put the screws to him back in the SC primary in 2000, using push polls to attack McCain to exaggerate his role in the Keating S&L; debacle, planting false rumors of his fathering of a “black baby” out of wedlock and a full-out blast of his wife’s struggle with painkiller addiction, a man of principle wouldn’t have anything to do with Bush. Not McCain. He’s practically blown the current Oval Office occupant’s johnson with as much eagerness as Ms. Lewinsky did the Clenis.

We’ve gone on at length here at the Blend about the disgusting doormat that McCain has become, but Shakes Sis said it best a while back:

On McCain’s slavish devotion to Dear Leader: [P]erhaps McCain is actually a Real Doll, as it occurs to me that the owners of Real Dolls and the Bush administration have approximately the same needs-loyalty, compliance, someone who looks real enough but doesn’t ask too many questions, a realistic body with no brain to help convey one’s basest urges. And I don’t think McCain is the only Real Doll floating around the Beltway. He’s certainly not the only GOP hack willing to get repeatedly fucked while never saying a word.
